A touching review :D
Amazing Kinross Cottages
We were thrilled when our three sons gave us tickets for the NZ Golf Open in March to mark our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We were delighted to also be given two nights at Kinross Cottages.
We decided, after viewing the website, that we should stay an extra night at our expense. Great decision. Very often the anticipation isn't reflected in the 'actual' when one arrives at the destination.
This is not the case with Kinross Cottages.
Lizzie and Adam greeted us and it was obvious that, while everything was going to be done professionally, it would be done by these charming young people in a relaxed and friendly manner. We loved chatting to Lizzie with her infectious Scottish accent and Adam kept the coffee cups full, as well as explaining his love for the environment, which Lizzie shared.
Our cottage, set among the grape vines, overlooking the wonderful Pisa Range was simply oh so comfortable and beautifully appointed. Leather arm chairs; a bed that one didn't want to get out of; and all the things that were needed in the amply supplied kitchen and bathroom. We stayed at Craggy Range to celebrate our actual anniversary and our Kinross Cottage was just as good but at a much lesser price. We simply said to each other that this was a place that we would always stay at during our visits to the amazing and extremely picturesque Central Otago. It is lovely to be able to join other guests and the locals for a pizza and wine on a Friday evening. Kinross Cottages are situated so close to Arrowtown and Millbrook, both with extremely good restaurants. Queenstown is less than half an hour away. Not to forget the renowned wineries dotted through the Gibbston Valley. If you are looking to stay in 5 star accommodation at 4 star prices you wont be disappointed.
Lizzie and Adam will look after you during your couple of nights in paradise.
